ONE-STOP-SHOP FOR TAFE JOBS IN EASTERN VICTORIA

Thursday, 18 April 2019

Industry experts in Eastern Victoria can now find jobs in Victoria’s booming TAFE sector in one place, thanks to the Andrews Labor Government.

Member for Eastern Victoria Region, Harriet Shing today called on local job seekers to visit the Jobs at TAFE website, which brings together all TAFE teaching and administrative jobs from across Victoria to a single location.

People interested in working at TAFE can register to become part of the Jobs at TAFE community and receive job alerts, search for jobs in the industries they work in, and apply for advertised roles.

Thousands of Victorians are on the way to getting the skills they need to secure jobs in high-demand industries, with more than 19,000 students commenced in Free TAFE courses so far this year, driving a doubling of commencements in these courses compared to the same time last year.

Students can save up to $2,500 for some pre-apprenticeship courses and up to $5,000 for Certificate IV courses. For higher-level courses such as a Diploma in Nursing or a Diploma in Building and Construction, students will save more than $10,000 through Labor’s Free TAFE initiative.
