HAVE YOUR SAY ON ROAD PLANS FOR PHILLIP ISLAND

Tuesday, 19 December 2017

The Andrews Labor Government has released concept designs and potential improvements to the Phillip Island Road Corridor – with locals, businesses and visitors all invited to have their say on the plans.

Member for Eastern Victoria Harriet Shing today welcomed the release of the concept plans, which will look to improve the road network around Phillip Island.

Community feedback, along with traffic data and video and drone footage, has been used to help produce the designs and possible solutions.

VicRoads staff will also be hosting community pop-up sessions at Phillip Island in the near future.

Concept designs for the Phillip Island Road corridor are now available for people to view online, with a short survey open until midnight on Sunday, 14 January 2018 at engage.vicroads.vic.gov.au/phillipislandroad.

Quote attributable to Member for Eastern Victoria Harriet Shing:

“Phillip Island is one of Victoria’s great tourist destinations and we have to keep planning ahead to keep it that way.”

“The views of community members who live and work on the Island are crucial to improving road suitability, condition, access and year-round use of the roads on and around Phillip Island”

“I would encourage Islanders to view the concept designs and complete the survey to give their own direct feedback as part of improving local infrastructure.”
