CELEBRATING THE TALENTS OF GIPPSLAND’S CHILDREN

29 June, 2017

Local community groups and councils in Gippsland will be supported to host free and fun activities for Victorian families as part of Children’s Week.

Harriet Shing, Member for Eastern Victoria today invited eligible organisations to apply for funding to help cover the costs of hosting an activity or event during Children’s Week, which will run from 21-29 October.

The week-long celebration recognises the talents, skills, achievements and rights of children by offering free activities for Victorian families.

Grants ranging from $500 to $2000 can be used for costs associated with running an activity such as guest speakers, entertainment, performing artists, craft materials, children’s prizes or administrative costs.

The activity must be offered free to Victorian families with children, aged 0-12, or to early childhood services and schools.

Applications must be completed before 5pm on Friday, 21 July. For more information visit: http://www.education.vic.gov.au/about/events/Pages/childrensweek.aspx?Redirect=1
